Must Read Books

I love to read. And one of the things this sabbatical has provided is time to catch up on my reading...I’m always reading a few books at a time—currently, it’s these eight:

FEARLESS, by Max Lucado
ELIJAH, by Chuck Swindoll
THE INVISIBLE WAR, by Chip Ingram
TEMPERED STEEL, by Steve Farrar
LIVING UNDER THE RAINBOW, by Edwin Young
GUARD US, GUIDE US, by J.I. Packer
BASEBALL AND THE BABY BOOMER, by Talmage Boston
SATCHEL: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF AN AMERICAN LEGEND, by Larry Tye

I’m enjoying each and every one of them... Also during these days, I have to say it’s been hard for me to stay away from Prestonwood, the church I love so dearly, so, I have been in the office a bit. I’ve worked on my files and library. And that got me to thinking about my “Must Read List” for ministers (but, actually, this goes for any believer). These are insightful, incredible, life-changing books. I hope you will take a moment to check out the list, and then go out and read a few of them...And let me know what you think of the list....Happy reading.

Thanks for the list of books! I have just read Adopted for Life by Dr. Russell Moore. Great book describing adoption-literally and spiritually. Never much thought about how God adopted me and what that really means.

Dr. Graham - Thank you for posting this list. As a young pastor, it's always a highlight to see what those men whom you respect spend their time reading. I've always enjoyed your preaching. It has encouraged me as a young pastor. To see what you're reading just gives a glimpse into what speaks to your heart. Thank you for your ministry and faithfulness.

May God continue to heal your body, soul and spirit during this sabbatical time. I look forward to how He uses you when you return to the pulpit! Richest blessings on you!

Thank You for posting this list, it is an answered prayer! It has been a time consuming task to find books worth reading when we go in Christian book stores. (We have enjoyed reading your books and now we look forward to reading your recommendations).

May the Lord continue to heal you and comfort your family :)

Thank You Pastor Graham for your reading lists. This is a great list to pull from for the person who wants to know more. The body of Christ is dry as far as understanding who they are in Christ. These books and authors bring revelation and understanding to our complex christian lives and study.

Pastor Graham, thanks for sharing your list of life-changing books. I have read a few on your list. Another life-changing book, for me, has been The Complete Green Letters by Miles J. Stanford. It is a colletion of works dealing with what is means to be a Christian. Much of it is elementary, but I need to go back to the basics from time to time. In prayer equipping, The Ministry of Intercession by Andrew Murray.
