Daily Light

One of my daily devotional practices is reading morning and evening from Daily Light. This wonderful compilation of Scriptures has been on my must-read list for the last 15 years or so.

It is important to consistently meditate on God’s Word and Daily Light gives the reader an opportunity to hear from God every day. Inevitably, as we are consistent in our reading and meditating, God will speak directly to our day and life situation.

Here’s today’s reading. I encourage you to pick up or order a copy of this magnificent way to walk in faith in the light of God’s Word.

Blessed is every one who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways. When you eat the labor of your hands, you shall be happy, and it shall be well with you. Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.
Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
As long as he sought the LORD, God made him prosper. Beware that you do not forget the Lord your God by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statues which I command you today,…then you say in your heart, “My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.”
Is not the LORD your God with you? And has He not given you rest on every side?

Gen. 39:3; Ps. 128:1-2, Ps. 37:3-4; Josh. 1:9; Matt. 6:33; 2 Chron. 26:5; Deut. 8:11, 17; 1 Chron. 22:18
