Congratulations to the Prestonwood Christian Academy Boys Basketball Team for winning the TAPPS 5A state title today!The growing rivalry between PCA and Trinity Christian has the makings of a great one. Last year, it was TCA’s turn, and this time, PCA came from behind to win 50-45... One of the best high school basketball games I’ve ever seen.
I’ve always thought high school sports are a wonderful way to build teamwork and lasting friendships and to learn valuable life lessons... You don’t always win, but you play hard and you play fair and you never, ever give up.
We saw that in today’s game ... fine young men (many of whom are members of Prestonwood ...from both schools) led by great coaches playing the game the right way, and giving all the honor and glory to God when it was done. PCA won this time, the school’s third state championship (football and boys soccer) this year plus a national cheerleading title.
The Lions were the winners ... but there were no losers.
